It is a perfect addition to grilled meat or grilled vegetables. The phenomenal taste comes from fresh ingredients such as carrots, basil and herbs. Below you will find three suggestions for preparing this dish.

– 2 young carrots,
– half a leek,
– 2 tablespoons mayonnaise,
– 2 tablespoons sour cream,
– salt, pepper, sugar.
This is the most common version of cabbage salad and the quickest to prepare. You can vary it by adding two ripe apples, grated on large meshes or large onions. You can also add raisins or canned corn.
Method of preparation:
Wash the young cabbage and grate or chop it. Wash, peel and grate the carrots. Separate leek from leaves, cut in half and further shred in half circles. Put the vegetables into a large bowl and mix. Finally add mayonnaise, sour cream and spices
Mix everything together and season as needed. If you want to prepare more fit version,
use thick natural yoghurt and low-fat mayonnaise instead of cream. This is a good option for people on a diet, vegetarians or athletes.

As in the recipe above, wash and shred the cabbage and carrots on a large-mesh grater and chop the dill. To prepare the sauce, combine mayonnaise with yoghurt and honey, and add lemon juice. Mix all the vegetables and add the sauce, mix again.

Place vinegar, oil, and sugar with salt in a pot. Stir over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Wash and grate the cabbage and carrots. Pour the liquid from the pot over the vegetables. Mix everything well and put in the fridge for a few minutes. Serve chilled.
Cabbage salad can be prepared on the basis of basic ingredients, that is leek, cabbage, spices and carrots. Test the flavors and add pickles, paprika, horseradish or mustard if you like.
