Autumn time is the perfect time for warm, thick and comfortable sweaters! Their fans certainly often ask themselves how to store them so that they do not get damaged. Contrary to appearances, this is not an obvious matter!

Do you love sweaters, especially in the autumn season? The comfort, convenience and warmth they provide are appreciated by many women. Unfortunately, poorly stored sweaters are often damaged, as they can stretch, rub and pull in places. A poorly organized closet is the cause of damage to our clothes, which, after all, we love.

Many people believe that relative order in the closet ensures that clothes do not deteriorate faster than they should. But the problem is that inadequate closet organization significantly degrades the quality of our clothes. Organize it, start sorting clothes and consciously storing them. If there are excess clothes in your closet, get rid of them as soon as possible. Donate or sell the things you don’t wear, as this will make room for new gems!

How to store sweaters?

Store sweaters in a drawer, cardboard box or arranged on a shelf. Never hang your beloved sweater on a hanger, as it will stretch, deform and lose its charm.

Fold each sweater into a cube and place it in a drawer one on top of the other or roll it up. Be careful not to press or pull it when putting it on. Sweaters, as a rule, are made of quite delicate, often very vulnerable materials.

Folding sweaters

If you don’t have a lot of space in your closet, then arrange the available space sensibly. Instead of folding sweaters, you can roll them! Roll next to the roll – it’s very simple. The advantage of such a solution is easier access to each sweater – you will see the colors right away and recognize faster the specific model you want to wear that day. Forget about knocking down the whole meticulously arranged pile beforehand, open the closet and reach for the sweater you chose beforehand!

However, if you are a fan of the traditional folding of sweaters flat, or simply do not have the opportunity to arrange them in the closet, then you definitely want to know how to do it so that they do not get crumpled. It is important that you first iron your freshly washed sweater. If you have a steam iron at home, it will work much better for sweaters than a traditional one. Steam will not damage materials such as wool and cashmere, from which they are often made. Folding is very easy, but follow a few simple rules – lay the garment flat, lay the sleeves inward, do not press the material, lay it loosely. This will definitely prevent the formation of characteristic unsightly edges, which will make you have to iron the sweater once again. Always start stacking from the largest sweater.
