Meat in the pan, chicken in the oven – even pizza can leave a greasy mess in a spotless kitchen. You may not see it right away, but a few days later, when you’re standing in the kitchen and have time to focus on something other than cooking, you suddenly notice – stains and greasy marks.

Water alone cannot get rid of grease because water molecules do not stick to grease molecules. Commercial grease cleaners can remove most stains, but if you don’t have any products on hand, what can you do? Fortunately, there are ways to fight the mess using things you already have in your home. These few grease-eliminating solutions will have you enjoying a clean kitchen in no time.

You should purchase a kitchen faucet with a pull-out spout, which will make cleaning greasy dishes much easier Deante kitchen mixer or others available at https://elazienki.pl/k/baterie/kuchenne-zlewozmywakowe/.

Flour

One of the best ways to remove greasy stains in the kitchen is something that often causes a mess on its own. This, of course, is flour.

If the grease is still in liquid form, it is better not to wait until it is completely dried. To make sure all the grease is collected, sprinkle flour on the spilled liquid. The flour will absorb the grease and allow you to wipe it off easily. Just make sure it’s cool before you touch it! However, if the grease has already dried check out what else you can do!

Baking soda and water

Baking soda is a great all-purpose solution for cleaning many things around the house. Mixed with water it can be used to remove tarnish from copper, juice and coffee stains from countertops, stains on stainless steel and, you guessed it, hard to remove grease. Baking soda is an alkaline, which means it’s great at dissolving grease. And because it’s mild, it destroys grease without harming your hands or the surfaces you’re cleaning. Simply mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 cup of water. Apply the solution to a sponge to remove grease stains from surfaces such as countertops, linoleum, cooktop, and even pots and pans.

Dishwashing liquid

It goes without saying that grease splatters on countertops, walls, cabinets, ceilingceiling. It can also be tiles. Often our clothes get stained too.

For soft surfaces such as clothing or tablecloths, treat the stain with a small amount of dish detergent. Let the liquid soak in for about half an hour before cold-washing. Soaps attach to grease molecules and help wash them away, and dishwashing liquids are some of the strongest grease-fighting agents

Vinegar

For tough, dried greasy stains, such as those that have stuck to the stove, the inside of the oven, or stuck to dishes after an all-night sink bath, spray the stain with vinegar and let it sit for about five minutes. The acidic vinegar will help dissolve and soften the hard part, making it easier to scrub with a soft sponge.

Vinegar by itself will not dissolve grease like alkaline materials do, but it can help soften the texture and make the cleaning process much easier. For best results, apply vinegar when the surface is hot – so if it’s a cooking utensil such as a pot or pan, apply vinegar right after use or heating.

Vinegar can also be used as a preventative grease remover for pots and pans. Simply boil 2 cups of vinegar in the pan for 10 minutes and the grease will not stick for several months.
