Vinegar – the cure for all ailments

So if you clean your toilet on a regular basis and the slowly accumulating layer of scale is still fresh, don’t hesitate! Vinegar is the perfect solution.
All you have to do is rinse the edges of the toilet thoroughly with a glass of vinegar. Still have residue left? Soak a sponge with vinegar and wipe the stained areas.
Vinegar and baking soda – a duo for special tasks
The bane of your toilet is not only limescale and bacteria, but also unsightly yellow stains on the bowl. This is exactly what baking soda, another of the ingenious cleaners you have at home, can do. All you need to do is create a mixture of two tablespoons of baking soda and two tablespoons of vinegar. Once the mixture begins to resemble a thick paste, apply it to the dirt in your toilet using a sponge. Wait fifteen minutes, then rinse with warm water and… done.

You may have thrown a bottle of Coca-Cola into your shopping cart. But have you ever thought of it as a substitute for detergents? Substances such as phosphoric acid, which are found in this popular fizzy drink, are able to break down the structure of scale that builds up on the toilet, making it much easier to remove.
Coca-Cola can be used not only as a delicious drink, to help with stomach problems or to clean burnt pots… but even to unblock pipes! How do you get rid of limescale with it? Just pour a bottle of cola into the toilet and leave it for about an hour. After this time, clean the bowl thoroughly with a toilet brush.
How to remove limescale from the shower glass?
